A UNIVERSITY OF MINNESOTA CROOKSTON SENIOR MAINTENANCE ELECTRICIAN Full time position to start as soon as possible. Hourly pay range: $25.02-$32.50 plus an excellent benefits package. This position is the lead electrician to other electricians, workers and helpers regarding troubleshooting, installing and maintaining electrical systems and related equipment. This position is responsible for various electrical tasks including service, maintenance and installation of electrical fixtures and wiring. RESPONSIBILITIES: Repair, replace and maintain building and grounds electrical components; install, repair and maintain fire alarm systems to include smoke and heat detectors, horns, pull stations, electrical panels and fire alarm networks; organize, assemble, test, install, service and repair electrical equipment and wiring used in communication, light, power systems, etc.; install, maintain and repair electric motors, generators, electric equipment; secure panel boards, switch boxes, pull boxes and other concealed or recessed equipment to structure frame; assemble, and install conduit, panels, periodic inspections of electrical equipment and wiring to determine maintenance or repair needs, electrical loads and to check for electrical fire hazards; perform emergency & regular line repair work; install electrical wiring, devices and equipment for remodeling and special projects; track and maintain electrical supply inventory including identifying appropriate equipment needs for construction and remodeling projects, prepare time and material cost estimates, and purchasing electrical material and supplies. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: State of MN Master's Electrician License; ability to lift fifty pounds; able to read, write, and understand English. Final job offer contingent upon complete background check.
