Director of Claims The North Dakota Insurance Reserve Fund in Bismarck, ND, an EOE, has a career opportunity for a highly motivated individual as its Director of Claims. This position reports to the CEO and assumes management responsibility for all services and activities of the NDIRF claims department, including staffing, budgeting, and imple- mentation and monitoring of all other claims department policies and procedures. This position is also responsible for involvement in other organizational activities, including assistance with other departments and participation in marketing and public relations efforts of the NDIRF. Knowledge of operational characteristics, ser- vices and activities of claims management, including negotiation and settlement principles, practices, and documentation is essential. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS include a bachelor's degree with major course work in public or business administration or a related field and at least 10 to 12 years of increasingly responsible experience in the field of property and casualty insurance. A Certified Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) and/or an Asso- ciate in Claims is desirable. This position requires attention to detail and advanced skills in the use of computers and computer software.
