About

C&M Ford Sales opened its doors in 1966 in downtown Hallock when Monte Blomquist (the M) and Cecil Johnson (the C) purchased the Hallock Auto Sales Dealership from Woody and Dennis Woodard. Like the Hallock Auto Sales Dealership, C & M Ford sold Ford and Mercury cars and trucks and Case Implements. In 1971 Monte purchased Cecil's share of the business and the C of C&M then stood for Cindy, Monte's wife.

In 1988, when Monte died suddenly his son Paul returned from Minneapolis fresh out of college to take over the reigns of the car dealership and son Jon took over the implement side of the business -- officially splitting the business in two. In 1997 C & M moved to its current location on Highway 75 on the north side of Hallock, the site of the former implement business, and has continued to grow in sales, staff and facility ever since.
