RRVCA has been helping families in Grand Forks, Nelson, Pembina, and Walsh counties for over 45 years with programs and services to empower people and enhance quality of life. Weatherization Assistance Program: Homeowners and renters meeting financial guidelines are eligible for free home improvements to increase energy efficiency & lower heating bills by reducing heat loss. Services provided often include attic, wall, and floor insulation. Low-Income Residential Cooling Program: LIHEAP-eligible households may qualify for a cooling device (air conditioner or a fan, as need dictates) or repairs to existing cooling device. To qualify, a member of the household must be age 60 or older or have a documented medical need. Supportive Services for Veterans Families (SSVF): The Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF) program is designed to prevent low-income veterans and veteran families from experiencing homelessness and to rapidly re-house veteran families' currently experiencing homelessness, with the goal of helping low-income veterans and veteran families achieve permanent housing stability. This will be accomplished by providing case management services and funding for rental/utility, transportation, childcare, emergency housing and emergency supplies. Food Pantry: RRVCA operates food pantries in Grand Forks and Michigan, ND.
